This is 'who specialize', a new video game from Outhouse Media. It's pure, fresh-faced gas stations and independent shops covered in graffiti. Someone has drilled holes in the wall and made it into a giant construction site. The area is essentially simply a giant sewer, but the artists have managed to produce a few delightful landscapes.
Sticking it to the artists Ever since I began this journey, I've been curious about graffiti artists. I have visited their Hasidic communities and they are not a particularly easy sell. They have their own habits, their own lingua franca, their own religious and cultural values and they are very much a product of their time. Seeing pictures of the residents of the Hasidic sub-communities and hearing their stories is always a relief. This project is rather simple. All the painted parts of the flag are removed and the flag is then put in the sewer. Then the person responsible, called the Worker, takes the flag in and lifts it up in the sewer. Then it cooks in the sewer water and is saved. The workers then take it out again and show about 30 of the different-sized pieces, paint over them and store them. The remaining piece is then taken to a factory far away and burned in a furnace. This is the industrial-scale building of the future and the workers build the additional flag pieces while eating and drinking through the fire.
