the lowland

This is 'the lowland', a new video game from Outhouse Media. It's a bit of a departure from the usual gaming images, as it doesn't feature the typical super powered warriors and super soldier types, instead it's dominated by a ragtag gang of ragtag scientists, assassins, and lowlander heroes.
It's a simple but very effective investigative game that takes you deep into the world of Outhouse through its fantastic in-game world map. The players are able to work together with other players to explore and uncover clues, and discover areas where there is no current evidence to tie together. Characters will talk about their experiences, and are shown footage from the game's in-game footage, or even just footage that's been recorded by the player themselves. It's a richly illustrated world that gives us a wealth of information about the survivors of the excavation, along with a few references to published literature and stories that are still currently relevant to the game's setting. The game's story is narrated by a voice-over, and ends with an exciting conclusion, but only if you've played the previous level: "In a sealed-off area near the burial site, the survivors encounter an ominous figure, a woman in a dog coat. Her tone is commanding, her general demeanor confident, and she is huge. They escort her past a group of civilians, who have been retreating to escape the flames. She drops into the middle of the crowd, and the survivors scramble for cover as she approaches. She disappears into the night
