The company says it will launch in the fall, with the full game now on the website, and that it is seeing sales of $10-20K per game. For a brief gameplay demo, you can see it all here. The game is designed to accommodate the 40:40 rule that is traditionally and fiercely defended by "massively multiplayer" games like Starcraft.
In the game, the player controls a squad of characters, through which the player can focus on some type of task, like fighting or... well, whatever. You can play as soldiers, can play as workers, or send people to a space station. The creators of the game, which is made by Maxis, Kipp, and DDO Entertainment, say they came up with the ideas for the game because they wanted to recapture the "roguelike" feel of "StarCraft" and "Spaceballs." Where players control soldiers fighting against aliens or demons in a space station, or a space suit in a battle against the alien attacking a space station. The game will have its own custom camera, but will have a similar game mode: combat focusing on objectives and hordes. The team is already hard at work on getting the game more polished, with that expected to be released in August. For the full gameplay demo, check out the video below.
