Created by Austin-based developer, Make-a-Bear, the game follows an AI character using a radio receiver to communicate with humanity.
It's an approach that's different and is still trying to find its feet. "We have a great track record in defining what's a radio. But the way we approach it today has been a challenge. What this means to us will be different," Make-a-Bear CEO Tom Lee told us. Lee explained that the team has already been working with Breakthrough Media and the BBC on the idea, as well as with a number of other authorities around the globe. But while the game is very much a step in the right direction, and aimed at building up AI intelligence in the face of human-level problems, it's not completely on its way to becoming a universal language around the world. Instead, it's just one of many examples of the challenges that still lie ahead. "Raising awareness for itself is part of the reason we're all involved here. It's not an easy thing, but we're there, we're working on it, and we're confident we can get it right." "We're working on it, we're confident we can get it right." It is clear that the worldwide movement towards AI will have to start somewhere.
