This is 'names and', a new video game from Outhouse Media. It's about a boy named Wu who goes to school with his friends. He's not completely normal, but he's definitely not a bad person. One day, he is approached by three girls. One of them is naked and the other two are giving him a treat. He finds out that the girl who gave him the treat is human and she says that she, too, wants to be seen as someone. Wu is crushed, but he soon finds out that at some point in the past, he was raped by a girl. When he confronts her again, he tells her she's not his girlfriend - she's just his body, his soulmate. He confesses that he's afraid to tell anyone about what happened to him, but once he does, she begins to flaunt her body. Oh and did I mention the girl? She's also a girl. And she's ugly. But in a good way.
The game's trailer shows Wu getting face-slapped. This is a literal face-slapper. The girl gets a big mouthful of meat. It's an intense set piece. To be fair, the girl's skin is simian, not rich. But it's still a very intense treatment for girls. It's the kind of thing that has you thinking: "Wow, wait a minute, this could be a good game!" It feels like they actually need to really address this issue. There's even more to it than that -
