for Whom?
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
This is 'for Whom?', a new video game from Outhouse Media.
This is a game about a world (the world we live in) where people are judged by their gender. It's an idea that's been pushed as far as to be openly gay from creator and co-founder Graham Lawson to a popular artist.
For nine months, the team have been developing A Game About Boy Scouts, in partnership with Lumpy Publishing, the publisher behind the popular indie fantasy series The Last Unicorn.
The game is an episodic game available in 2015, with the first World of Warcraft expansion quite a few years away.
Graham Lawson said: "We wanted to engineer an experience that would guide people through little chats and be live streamed through Twitch.com until they agreed to indulge in the life of a Boy Scouts leader.
"But why stop there? We wanted to fight against the gender prejudices we see in the news and the internet. Since our announcement about our game on Twitter, it's become a community cornerstone."
And when asked about spreading the word, he said: "The internet is a very powerful tool for social change, but it's not a panacea. There are millions of boys and men in the world who can't do what we were able to be lucky enough to do and wish."
The game explores the theme of how the Boy Scouts are a powerful, free-thinking organisation.
