This is 'Festival of Lights Game', a new video game from Outhouse Media. It's fascinating, and it's gorgeous, and easy to understand why, but it may have left some gamers questioning whether this subgenre can justify itself. I am not an expert in the genre, but I've heard much of what people have said, and I'm going to give it one last chance to prove itself. You wonder if the game is worth it? Is it worth buying? Here are my thoughts.
The game presents a functional world with a single, central plot arc that takes place at four different times throughout the year. This is what you need to know: The game doesn't need to be said in detail, but let's just say that it's a story in the form of some sort of major city-state. The point of the story might not be that interesting, but it's a major plot point anyway. That's not my point. Much of the game is the story of the characters, the world, and how their actions affect each other. The plot is important, but the characters are not the focus of the game. At least not at first glance, at least not all the time. Art style is in a constant state of flux. Style evolves virtually daily, and some artists often have very different thoughts and visions of what they want to achieve. The game's art is, in a sense, these disjointed pieces of mayhem, and it's because many artists over the years have gone through struggle and hard times,
